ALL PARISHIONERS are invited to please participate in the Growing Disciples pastoral planning process in the following ways:

 1. Be informed: Please take a deep dive into all of the facts, stats, and information that helped to inform the latest round of parish models .This will help to explain the “why” part of this pastoral planning process. While currently in Round 2 of the proposed parish models, the first round of models, along with all of the data collected from the parishes in our area is available to you! There are also print copies of information available in the Fr. Anthony Vestibule.

 2. Pray and discern: After you’ve had time to digest all of the data and information, please take time to discern and pray about your feedback.

3. Share your informed feedback with Bishop Lou: Your voice, along with your real, lived experiences at Sacred Heart and in our local Catholic community have immense value and Bishop Lou wants to hear from you!  Submit your feedback via the paper forms available in the Fr. Anthony vestibule (along with self-addressed envelopes) or online HERE!

Since coming to the “Heart of Illinois,” Bishop Louis Tylka has experienced firsthand the faith and good works of our priests, religious and laypeople, and he has listened to the people of the Diocese of Peoria. In response to what he has learned, Bishop Tylka has commissioned a pastoral planning process called Growing Disciples, with the goal of moving further into the mission which Christ has given us: to go and make disciples.

In order to renew discipleship and enhance relationships with Jesus in every corner of our region, Growing Disciples will examine the current structure of parishes and schools in the diocese to evaluate how they can best meet the needs of the faithful and address challenges facing the Church today.
